QuickBooks ProAdvisor

Selecting and setting up your bookkeeping software is vital and is the first step for useful and accurate financial information. We have been QuickBooks ProAdvisors for several years working on Windows, Mac and Online platforms.

QuickBooks Set-Up

During the QuickBooks Set-up process we will:

  • Discuss with you and assess your accounting and software needs
  • Recommend the appropriate software, such as desktop or online (cloud) software
  • Install the software and create a new Company data file
  • Set up chart of accounts applicable to your business needs
  • Create item lists for invoicing, expense and inventory tracking
  • Get you started on customizing forms such as invoices, purchase orders,  etc.
  • Enter in starting and open balances
  • Confirm balances match to old accounting system or your federal tax return

After the Set-up process, the QuickBooks file is ready for use. This is where we discuss who will enter and maintain the QuickBooks file. Or sometimes it’s both of us working on the same company file.

QuickBooks Training

QuickBooks has many great features built into it. With so many features it sometimes can be daunting for the business owner or new user. We can discuss what you want to accomplish in QuickBooks and show you how to:

  • Create and customize templates for estimates, invoices, purchase and sales orders
  • Write checks
  • Create and email invoices
  • Receive client payments and other deposits
  • Enter in credit card charges
  • Run reports such as: Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet Statements, Unpaid Bills, Open Invoices etc.
  • Create backup of Company file
  • Maneuver around QuickBooks and show you useful options and preferences

QuickBooks Troubleshooting and Cleanup

It can be so frustrating not to know where you are financially. Need to apply for a loan or want to expand your business? Having accurate, useful accounting information is key to moving forward. Does the checking account balance in QuickBooks seem off compared to the bank balance? Does the Undeposited Deposits account keep growing? Unclear how much Accounts Receivables is due to you? Uncertain how much Accounts Payable is owed?  We can review your QuickBooks data file for:

  • Chart of Accounts set-up
  • Data reasonableness
  • Compare and adjust checking, credit cards, loan amounts, payroll liabilities etc. to actual amounts on statements
  • Old invoices and bills
